Maria Hurtado, LMHC

Maria Hurtado is a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and Connecticut. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree and completing her pre-doctoral internship at Torrance State Hospital. Maria provides psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, drawing from her experience in outpatient, clinical, and forensic settings.

Her expertise includes culturally informed assessments, learning and behavioral evaluations, and diagnostic clarification. She is committed to integrating evidence-based practices with cultural responsiveness, offering services in both English and Spanish.

Throughout her career, Ms. Iof has served diverse populations, working with individuals across all age groups—from children in elementary school to older adults.

She specializes in treating individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused interventions, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to promote emotional healing and resilience.
